Will Rogers once said, "If you don't like the weather in Oklahoma, just wait a while!" Ole Will was right; you will rarely get bored with the weather in Oklahoma. We definitely experience the 4 seasons, and in those 4 seasons we experience just about every type of weather there is. Winters are mild overall; anyone who wants to walk or jog outside can approximately 360 days a year. We have beautiful autumns with colorful leaves, cool nights, warm days...the epitome of "Indian Summer". Part of our summer is "The Dog Days of Summer", a time to cool off at the lake. Spring is wonderful with crocus coming up through a dusting of snow, blankets of yellow jonquils promising more flowers to come. The Redbud, Oklahoma's State Tree, splashes lavender, purple and pink throughout the woods before the neighboring trees leaf out.
